1985: Matura in Salzburg, Austria. After much struggle.
1986 - 1993: Studies at the University of Vienna (M.Sc., Zoology). I should have appreciated Vienna more.
1993 - 1998: Studies at the University of British Columbia (Ph.D., Fisheries oceanography). Those were the days, my friend, we thought they’d never end. But they did.
1996 - 1998: Crisis Points Research Fellow, U.B.C. I should have done more with it.
1999 - 2000: Erwin Schrödinger Fellow, U.B.C.. Again, I should have done more with it.
2001 - 2007: Various research positions and teaching positions at the University of British Columbia. And again, I should have done more with them.
2010 - 2019: Director, Career Centre at a third-rate university. The lost decade.
2019 - 2025: University lecturer in ecology and evolution at an irreformable private diploma mill in Vancouver, British Columbia.
